What is the most professional camera to use for photography?

ksweet2015 asked:

Greetings, My Daughter wants a professional type camera She’s (((((( REALLY )))))))) into pictures. Currently she owns an old fugi digital camera she puts XD chips inside & takes pic’s with. While at Hot August Night’s in Reno she was lucky enough to get 450 pic’s of the car’s in the car show, but said would have got more “if” she had a more professional type camera. Any suggestion as to which camera she’d need to do her professional photo-ing?

Digital SLR the more mega pix the better. I recommend either a sony, Nicon, or Cannon. Also these come with detachable lenses. You might want to ask her about what she wants for a lens, since that really depends on what you are shooting.

A “professional” camera won’t get her more pictures, a larger memory card will. What she is speaking of is a DSLR, a digital camera much like the 35mm film SLRs. You purchase the lens and body separately according to your photographic needs. Decent external strobes are required for better images. Nikon, Canon and Sony are all contenders for this spot. Whichever brand, it is a great investment.

There are many different cameras out there to choose from and my best suggestion is to let her go to the stores and see which one feels the best in her hands since she will be the one using it. Let her snap a few pictures in the store.

Go to flickr and look for images taken with the different cameras so you can see how other semi-professionals photos come out using the camera. (If you do this make sure you look for photos that are straight from the camera instead of having been post edited. Usually the photographer will state this in the photos description.) Flickr also has many groups dedicated to particular cameras. You can ask the group members what the pros and cons of owning each particular camera is in their opinions. Finding out what other photographers love and **** about a camera can be useful info to have.

This past last year I have begun using my first DSLR; the Sony Alpha 300. It is giving me the chance to learn to use all of the settings and features at a cost that didn’t break my bank. ;) I love my camera!

You can also visit the websites of the top DSLR camera makers just to get an idea of what is out there.
